Peter Moseley is a gravurist/printmaker specialising in the application of digital technology to nineteenth century techniques, including the early photographic processes of photogravure, salt and gum printing. Peter’s images are camera captured, but realised through traditional print-making disciplines. His approach mediates the particularity of photography and allows the graphic and emotional form, rendered chiascuro, to predominate. His use of intaglio inks (gravure) and watercolours (gum bichromate) offers a restrained and muted palette that bears little relation to clinical, artificial colour acutance of digital computer based printing.
Peter Moseley has developed an extensive and expressive portfolio of dancers and musicians, and veiled and ‘naked portraiture’. More recently, his work has explored the dignity and physicality of ageing through a series of studies of men and women in their eighties.

Peter has exhibited at Gallery 1865 Kennington (solo show), the Penny Gallery, Kingston, and the Landmark Art Centre.
